THE NAME REFORMATION
Reformation: re-form, restore, to change into a new or improved condition.

The word is used by Apostle Paul in his writing to the Hebrew church (Heb. 9:10) where he is making reference to the carnal ordinances practiced by the Levitical priest under the Mosaic Law.
Such ordinances included the sacrifices offered for the sins of the people of God (Israel) as well as those of the priests themselves stating that these were imposed upon them “until the time of reformation” signifying that this reformation brought about a change in the sacrifices for sin.
The following verses (Heb. 9:11-14) point to Christ being the high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect sacrifice without spot, purging our conscience from dead works to serving the living God. Therefore, Christ is that “Reformation”.
